Animal-Themed Halloween Kids Craft Idea

Ready for a FANGtastic Halloween craft idea? There’s nothing better than curling up on the couch with a good book on a fall day, but what if you lose your place because something takes your attention away? This festive Halloween craft serves as the perfect bookmark and is easy for kids to create! Our post features instructions on how to create a bat shaped bookmark but you can find more ideas at Easy Peasy and Fun – bookmarks (you can find the original instructions for the following craft there, too!).

Materials Needed: Scissors, glue, black paper, white paper, & googly eyes

STEP ONE: Starting with a square black piece of paper, fold it diagonally on both sides.

STEP TWO: Fold the bottom up to create a triangle.

STEP THREE: Fold the top of the triangle towards the bottom of the triangle and crease.

STEP FOUR & FIVE: Hold the bottom corners, fold them in towards the center of the triangle and crease; then, unfold both sides.

STEP SIX: Hold the bottom corners, fold them up towards the top of the triangle and crease.

STEP SEVEN: Tuck the flaps into the center pocket.

STEP EIGHT: Glue the googly eyes, wings and fangs on to the bookmark and enjoy!
