OCCUPY SAN DIEGO HAS GONE TO THE DOGS!

ORPHANED PETS STAGE PROTEST AT HELEN WOODWARD ANIMAL CENTER

The orphaned pets are speaking out! An OccupyHWAC (that’s Helen Woodward Animal Center) protest is planned for Thursday, October 20, 11:00 a.m. The dogs and cats are making signs and gearing up for the event. (Plus we hear rumors of a tent city!)

Protest signs read “We’re too cute to fail,” “Pets Over Profit” and “We are the 99 Percent,” among other slogans the orphaned pets have come up with to share their plight with the world. Their goal is to find homes for each and every orphaned pet in San Diego in time for the holidays.

WHERE: Helen Woodward Animal Center – 6461 El Apajo Road, Rancho Santa Fe, in the Pavilion

WHEN:  Thursday, October 20 from 11 to 11:30 a.m.

RUMORED TO BE THERE:

  • Adoptable puppies and kittens with protest signs
  • A “tent city”
  • A human ambassador reading the Occupy Hearts constitution
