You know that feeling. That feeling of anticipation when a big holiday or birthday will never get here, and then, all the sudden… it does!
That’s how we feel about the 12th annual Iams Home 4 the Holiday adoption campaign.
We have been busily preparing for Home 4 the Holidays for months now. We thought it would never get here, especially when we found out that Chargers fullback Mike Tolbert would help us for our big kick off event at Qualcomm Stadium. That only made it worse! Well, October 5th finally arrived and so did our big kick off news conference. It went very well and Mike Tolbert and his dog, Tyson, put their best paw forward to get the word out about adopting orphaned animals.
There was only one bummer… There was an accident on I-15 and we heard that many partnering organizations were unable to attend. We missed you! Thank you for your support and participation! (Plus, this blogger got stuck in the same traffic, so I understand how frustrating that felt!)
We snapped a great photo of Mike Tolbert with his dog, Tyson. John Van Zante, our PR Manager, would not stop gushing about how neat Tyson was. He was sweet, affectionate, silly, and just an all around lovable canine.
Mike Tolbert took the time out of his busy schedule to talk with some reporters about why he supports this cause. Check out his interview video at Chargers.com.
Stay tuned to the blog as the adoption numbers begin rolling in. Remember: our goal this year is 1.5 million adopted pets! If you are interested in the Iams Home 4 the Holidays adoption campaign, here’s a list of links to peruse. Thanks for reading!
